Object info

Discovered in 1779, this spiral galaxy is part of the M51 galaxy group. M63 (NGC5055) is located in the constellation Canes Venatici and is at a distance of 37 million light years.


Processing

DSLRFocus was used for focussing. All separate frames were calibrated, aligned and stacked in ImagesPlus 2.8. Photoshop CS2 was used for further processing - curves adjustment, levels adjustment, noise reduction, etc.


Comments

Taken at rising (50%) Moon. Need (a lot) more FL for this object.
