Additional notes and remarks:

Object info

The Little Dumbbell Nebula is a planetary nebula which, unlike its larger "brother" M27 in Vulpecula, is much fainter. In fact it is one of the fainter objects in the Messier catalog.
M76 can be found in the constellation Perseus.

Its distance is uncertain, estimates range from 1.700 to 15.000 light years, although 3.400 light years is often used.

Processing

DSLRFocus for focusing. Calibration, aligning and stacking in IP 2.8. Photoshop CS2 was used for final processing.
Light frames were calibrated using 24 darks and 20 flats.

Comments

Conditions were not particularly good, fog and bad transparency. Some focus and small guiding issues.
