The Soul Nebula (Sharpless 2-199) is an emission nebula and a large star forming region which is located in the “Perseus Arm” of our galaxy and can be found in the constellation Cassiopeia.

Several open star clusters (i.e. Collinder 33 and Collinder 34) are present in the nebula, as well as a large radio source known as W5.
The nebula lies at a distance of approximately 6.500 light years.

This nebula is the eastern neighbor of IC1805 (The Heart Nebula).

Image comments

Not a very good image.
Relatively low total integration time.

Camera was not correctly placed, stars at upper left are deformed/out of focus due to camera not being parallel to image plane.
