The Medusa Nebula is a faint and large planetary nebula which can be found in the constelation Gemini, close to Canis Minor.
It lies at a distance of 1.500 light years, has a diameter of about 4 light years and is considered a very old planetary nebula.
It has such a low surface brightness that it was only discovered in 1955.
