NGC2174 is an emission nebula in Orion (near the border with the constellation Gemini) which surrounds a small cluster of young and bright stars.
It is also sometimes referred to as the “Monkey Head Nebula”
The distance to NGC2174 is estimated at about 6.500 light-years.
