NGC2392, also known as the “Eskimo Nebula” (sometimes referred to as the “Clownface Nebula”, although not common) is a small planetary nebula in the constellation Gemini.
It is estimated to be only about 1000 years old.
It is a bright planetary nebula at mag 10.1, and is therefore also visible in relatively small telescopes.
The distance to NGC2392 is about 2.900 light-years.
