NGC 7000 is known as the “North America Nebula”. It is an emission nebula which can be found in the constellation Cygnus.
It is a very large nebula as it covers an area of more than 4 times the size of the full moon, it lies at a distance of about 1.600 light years.
The nebulousity on the right side of the image is called the “Pelican Nebula” (IC5070).
Both nebulae lie at approx. the same distance and are separated by a dark absorption cloud (dust).
