At a distance of only 7.200 light years, NGC7380 (The Wizard Nebula) surrounds a newly forming star cluster with gas and dust. The active star forming region is about 100 light years across.
The nebula can be found in the constellation Cepheus and was discovered in 1787.
It is also known as Sh2-142.

All RGB exposures were taken through IDAS LPS-2 filter which was in front of the filter wheel.
